After decent tunes for Tere Naam, Himesh’s graph is going down rapidly with not one interesting tune. ABA is no exception. The title song is the only one that might get some airplay. Due credit to Himesh for singing it quite well. Its remix is nothing like DJ Suketu’s Zeher remix and falls flat. So does Abhijeet Sawant’s film debut, Mar jawan. A confused wannabe sufi Aap ki kashish worsens things. KK’s Dilnashin is hopeless. The graph hits rock bottom with Dillagi Mein, lifted straight off Ali Zafar’s Huqa Pani track, Rangeen! This is assembly line Himesh at his weakest!

ABA is selling like hot cakes. By the way since when you have become a critic. I am not a big Reshamayyia fan but please do not distort facts.

Eh? Did I ever mention ABA is not selling? I’m sure people know that its the biggest chartbuster of 2005! But since when does ’selling like hot cakes’ mean better quality? I’m not a critic. Just posting my opinion.

aap ki kashish and aba(remix) ranked for over a year on the top in ‘dial a song’ channels …. ditto with dilnashi( though i do not like it so much) … “The title song is the only one that might get some airplay.”" wot say dude??!!

Vinay:
Regardless of how much airtime those songs finally got, I accept that I made a fundamental mistake. No, not in a wrong prediction, but in predicting anything in the first place.

I consciously avoid predicting anything in a music ‘review’ and only aim to share my personal opinion. This statement about airplay was a stupid blunder on my part, since it clearly is predicting the success, which is entirely incidental to a music review.

Have been careful with other reviews, to the best of my knowledge.
