The eclectic title song has Sukhwinder at his best. The gradual build-up adds considerable charm. The mellifluous O Saathi Re, the dulcet Jag ja and the brooding Laakad are trademark Vishal-styled tracks…with the now-famous Gulzar word play. Rekha Bhardwaj is at her raspy best in the well-crafted, unruly celebratory track, Namak. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s vocals and some imaginative arrangements are the highlights of the moody Naina. And, Beedi redefines the item song with an unrestrained, free flowing, but mod sound! Vishal comes up with yet another unconventional, but highly enjoyable soundtrack that matches the composer-lyricist duo’s earlier innovative offerings!

Keywords: Vishal Bharadwaj, Gulzar, Ajay Devgan, Vivek Oberoi, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Konkona Sen.
