Yeh dooriyan calls out Shakira! With Shaheed Kapoor doing a Justin Timberlake, this is pretty catchy, more so because Himesh is out of his comfort zone in terms of composition and also lets Hanif Sheikh croon. Tere layee also has a reasonably different and enjoyable sound, barring that repetitive intermittent sound-bits, that have since become the composer’s signature. Sigdi too! Despite Himesh’s singing, the track has an infectious ring to it. Ek kalsa, however, is Himesh’s version of hip-hop and is plain dull and noisy. The remixes are…well…bah! For a choreographer’s film, the music is appropriately racy. Not bad, Himesh!

Keywords: Shaheed Kapoor, Ayesha Takia, Vivek Oberoi, Sunny Deol, Fool ‘n final, Fool and final, sakira ve, shakira ve

Himesh has thankfully moved away from his regular sound. Pretty neat album!

Normally I find your taste matching mine, but this time I was completely taken aback. Fool n final must be the first album that I have deleted after one listen, and I am a pack rat. Wow.

I just saw the Ek Khalsa song from fool n final on tv. This song is inspired heavily by a punjabi song Ek Gilassi ….. The way the chorus goes ek gilassi..do gilassi is exactly ripped off by himesh as ek khalsa do khalsa…the ek gilassi song is a pretty famous one and you should be able to find the song on the net somewhere….

Actually, I dont find anything similar tune-wise apart from the fact that both have incremental laundry lists - one with khalsa and the other with glassi!

  • Arun: There's also Bombay and Kolkata as part of the series. Definitely, a commendable effort by Saregama!
  • shriramece: "Thajam thajam" is outstanding! A blend of many raagas, I feel.... I can find traces of Reetigowlai, then Bhageshri & later Sriranjani! Wow... a g
