I’m only halfway through the soundtrack, but it’s not bad.

I agree with what jemsheed has said. The album stands nowhere compared to SLB’s previous movies. The backgrounds and precussions of the songs are better than the actual tunes.

The fate of the soundtrack depends on the movie as the songs are situational and lavish picturisation will help in enjoying them more.

I just heard that Monty Sharma is a cousin of Mithoon..CANT BELIEVE IT!

Mithoon is an exceptionaly talented composer…Monty Sharma is nowhere close
to Mithoon in talent !

Mithoon’s debut was awesome with TERE BIN, then came the Divine MAULA MERE and
TOSE NAINA LAGE, and then the fabulous
soundtrack of TRAIN !

But Monty Sharma has given such boring
music in Saawariya…disapointing

it’s heard that Monty Sharma had given
music for a film called MITTI also, which released some time back.

Was underwhelmed initially, but Monty’s score has grown on me immensely. I think he is truly brilliant with the orchestration here.

Monty/Bhansali worked on the score for a year.If you work on a film score that long, the orchestration better be good. The real test will be his next few scores.

Jab We Met is looking a lot better right now - it’s not phenomenal, but it’s better than most of Pritam’s recent efforts. Maybe he’s back.

Tum Se Hi and Aao Milo Chalo are my early picks of the soundtrack.

Yes, I like Jab We Met as well. Every track is pretty good actually. I like the Rahman-ish instrumental, very well done!

Mauja Hi Mauja, Aao Milo Chalo, Tum Se Hi, Aaoge Jab Tum are all very good.

  • viraajan: Karthik, I wish to see your review on any of D.Imman's forthcoming album who is in par with SD's standards :)
  • Arun: There's also Bombay and Kolkata as part of the series. Definitely, a commendable effort by Saregama!
  • shriramece: "Thajam thajam" is outstanding! A blend of many raagas, I feel.... I can find traces of Reetigowlai, then Bhageshri & later Sriranjani! Wow... a g
