With its manic speed, corny lyrics and some sneak techno sounds added, Naakka mukka is exuberant, kick-ass fun. Un thalaimudi has a cool, laid back tune sung damn well while beyond an interesting variation of Dick Dales’s Misilou, Doley largely strays all over. Unakkena naan and the conversational Kadavul padaitha drag, but Thozhiya has a lively vocal duel between Harish Raghavendra and Sri Charan. Tippu’s ballad Solladi is strongly reminiscent of an English track I don’t quite recall now, but is soulfully arranged. Vijay Antony produces a mixed bag in Kaadhalil Vizhunthen and Naakka mukka may just eclipse everything else!

Naakka Mukka is the pick of the album . Others are also quite decent . One of the first albums by Vijay Anthony which is tolerable .

Dont know if anyone has figured this out but the song “Unakkena Naan” sung by
Ramya is a straight rip off of “Unfaithful” by rihanna.

A little bird told me that VA did not compose the song or the tune for Unakkena Naan!!

  • Arun: There's also Bombay and Kolkata as part of the series. Definitely, a commendable effort by Saregama!
  • shriramece: "Thajam thajam" is outstanding! A blend of many raagas, I feel.... I can find traces of Reetigowlai, then Bhageshri & later Sriranjani! Wow... a g
  • Satissh: Karthik, I think this guy's albums don't deserve a review from you. There has never been a decent effort from him ever! Cheers! Satissh
