After just one original composition (by Vishal Shekhar, no less!) in his debut, Chal diye – Amit Sana returns with a real pop album. Rajeev Bhatt’s compositions are pretty listenable in the title song, Woh ho tum (co-composed by Amit!) and the interestingly tuned Aaja meri jaan. Ishq Bector’s hodge podge Mere khayalon mein doesn’t seem to suit Amit’s vocals. Hyacinth D’souza’s remix of Yaadein and Darshan Kansara’s remix of Woh ho tum add an appropriately catchy and impressive layer on the originals. Amit’s got a competent album in Yaadein with his composer Rajeev Bhatt, pitching in with presentable tracks.

In my opinion Aaja Meri Jaan is the pick of the album. Yaadein and Woh Ho Tum, though listenable, are slightly predictable. Mere Khayalon Mein didn’t impress too much, despite having an ensemble of sounds. Perhaps he should have used this song in a future album of his having similar songs, or should have a funky picturisation in order to cash on it properly.
Amit Sana has worked on his album, but with more new singers arriving he’ll have to come up with more songs like Aaja Meri Jaan to make him stay in the limelight.
