Dhoom dadakka (Hindi, Roop Kumar Rathod)

Dhoom Dadakka is the kind of soundtrack that is doomed from day one. It has music by Roop Kumar Rathod, who for some strange reason produces music akin to Aadesh Shrivastava – those insipid ones that doesn’t end up anywhere. The title song has Daler Mehndi singing his guts out, quite pointlessly, while Hari Om’s obvious Middle Eastern flavor and predictable tune is plain annoying. The holi number Ara ra ra is loud and jarrrrrring. The remixes are, well, terrible. It’s a miracle that this 3 track (if you count the remixes out) set made its way into a soundtrack!
