Ankith, Pallavi & Friends (Telugu, Vinu Thomas)

Posted by Karthik

With effervescent arrangements and a simple, lovely tune, Premani impresses instantly. The friendship song, Dost, goes one level up – bubbly, catchy and excellent orchestration conjured by the debutant composer. Karthik’s vocals are very apt in the world-has-hope melody track, Leletha puvvele while the techno number Tell me, albeit lyrically interesting, is routine, in terms of tune. The remaining three songs – the mellow Aalagake, the small’ish Neelo mediline and the soft Aaranavvulenduko are just about bearable. Vinu Thomas’ debut is no doubt impressive – the first three songs showcase his confidence in composing and working on zingy arrangements! Welcome Vinu!

One thing I really like about this album is the apt choice of singers.Be it karthik for leletha or pranavi for alagake. Also a new singer, balu thankachan who lent his voice for alagake and dosth mera dosth impresses highly. His voice reminded me of the second voice that was heard in rahman’s prema prema(prema desam)along with spb’s.

My favorites are premani, leletha and dosth mera dosth.Alagake and Neelo medile have been sung wonderfully! Aranavvulenduko alone seemed just average.Overall,I feel this album is good enough to draw music lovers to theaters.Hope the movie does well !

Alagake Allari Vayasa is my favorite by far. For some reason this song has appealed a lot to me and I just can’t help listening to it continuously.

Some of the lyrics in Dosth He Dosth make me cringe a bit.

A good album overall. I wish Vinu Thomas gets more work. Mickey J Meyer hasn’t been seen since Happy Days. So, these guys need more than good wishes.

yeah, the lyrics in Dosth he dosth is somewhat odd..

Leletha is another sizzling song in the album!!
    Good Work!!
