Ehsaan!

Caught up with Ehsaan Noorani at the new Apple iStore in Jayanagar, today! He’s the first ever composer I’ve met, by the way! Ehsaan was extremely friendly, articulate and was the perfect brand ambassador saying all the right things about Mac! When I told him I’m Karthik of ItwoFS, he seemed pleasantly surprised – though we do interact on mails – and asked me to wait. Spoke to him briefly about ItwoFS and he seemed to be in awe of the website, while the truth was that I was in awe of meeting him live! Did some fan’ny stuff like photos et all! Ehsaan spoke of a few interesting things – that Shankar Ehsaan Loy are planning something called ‘SEL Sounds’ to promote/ launch new musical talent in India; that they are working on an album for the past 5 years and are seriously committed to get something out by this year; that he thinks that online music retailing is the way forward for India. He demoed the Mac tool, ‘Garage band’ and answered questions from the crowd on his musical influences – a lot of Blues (BB King!) and Hemant Kumar – Anupama and Khamoshi in particular, from Hemant! An evening to cherish!
