Music review: Heroes (Hindi – Sajid Wajid & Monty)

Posted by: Karthik In: Hindi OST

Sajid Wajid regurgitate their assembly-line Punjabi music in the mellow Mannata and the so-called dancy Makhna – Sonu and Sukhwinder going through the drill respectively in these archaic tracks. Monty’s Wat’s up my bro is partly interesting – for the guitar work and its fusion with assorted Indian instruments like the tabla and sarod at various points in the song; but his Badmash launde is a crass, loud bhojpuri nightmare. Heroes has terribly lame music – expected that from Khan-fave Sajid Wajid, but Monty seems to be progressively heading towards doom after the mixed reactions he evoked from his recent projects!

Keywords: Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Mithun Chakraborty, Preity Zinta, Sohail Khan, Vatsal Shet, Dino Morea, Amrita Arora, Riya Sen

Mannata starts off pretty well and raises ones expectation but becomes predictable with the second line itself..it might still become very big with dhabas and truck drivers.

Rest of the soundtrack is waste of time.

Not all good musicians are necessarily good composers, is probably becoming true in case of Monty.
