Music review: Anjaneyulu (Telugu – S S Thaman)

Posted by: Karthik In: Telugu OST

What’s with Ravi Teja and Thaman? After Kick, the composer scores for the actor again in Anjaneyulu. Dil se bolo is left-over Manisharma, with mildly interesting additions, while Yem vayaso and Anjali offer funky, likeably hip tunes and orchestration – Anjali, in particular. Nuvve kantapadanante is predictably sleep-inducing, but the 2 raucous, massy songs – Olammy and Raajulakey raraju shake things up pretty well – Suchitra, in the latter is in her completely uninhibited self, typically the zone of Anuradha Sriram, along with a pulse-pounding rhythm. Anjaneyulu’s soundtrack has nothing drastically new to offer, but does decently, what it is supposed to.

Whatever it is, the songs are very enjoyable! Thaman has a long way to go with compositions his but he has got his arrangements alright!
