Music review: Aarya 2 (Telugu – Devi Sri Prasad)

Posted by Karthik

Baba Sehgal and the slow, rhythmic arrangements of Mr. Perfect are enticing, but both get boring very soon. Uppenantha has KK trying his best to salvage a predictable-at-every-turn tune, while Baby he loves you is too tame to even comment. Ringa ringa is foot-tapping, with what one expects from a made-for-front-bencher item number and Kunal Ganjawala adds extra feeling to do what he can to yet another supposed-soulful Karige loga. The techno sound in My love is gone is so last year. It could be massive expectations…what else could explain the dud that Devi Sri Prasad produces for Aarya 2?

Keywords: Allu Arjun, Navadeep, Kajal Agarwal, Shraddha Das, Devi Sri Prasad

    I expected a dud review from you…..

    Worst review……..

  • Karthik

Err, Rahul…you could help set the perspectives by adding a couple of lines of why/ how you liked the music of Aarya 2. It’d help people to read both opinions and then form their own idea, instead of just relying on my dud review.

@Karthik fanboys really annoy on ur review. We knew it. anyway album is below par. neither freshness nor tuneful.

repeating same comment from srikanth blog

OST become super hit. doesn’t matter .its really telugu listeners misfortune.

  • Divya

Yeah, I totally agree with you karthik. The album was a huge disappointment.Few months ago, I did listen to three tracks that were leaked . I thought those tracks were still under construction and the original ones would be better. But the album doesn’t even have a single instantly appealing song..Aarya -1 or just Aarya as it was, had really good numbers.

  • Spidey

    Karthiks got half right.
    Divya is over reacting.

    Dear Mr.Spidey

This comments section is to have your views on the album or how you feel about the review but not on what other listeners think of the album. Everyone has their own choice of music. You better understand it.

    surprising review.
just came in to see what u mightve wrote about arya 2.

the songs are basically addictive here in AP.
the audio is a massive hit

I think when u hear for the first time, u compare it with arya 1. But this one has a different touch, and a good one at that.

I cant get over Uppenantha.. My fav work of KK, he just pours his soul into it

  • Rock Star

I’ve not seen a review sucking as bad as this one. I’ve been listening to Arya 2 since ages (err.. okay from the time it was released). I don’t think Sony BMG would get as much money it got from the sale of Arya 2 for Komaram Puli. DSP is seriously underrated outside Andhra, although for a reason that he rarely gave good music for Tam movies. No wonder you too brushed off the album without spending some time listening to it.

Fair enough. But, if I get it right, you’re saying 2 things – one. that you love the music and two, that it did very well, in terms of sales (besides the 3rd, most important thing – that my review sucks, I know).nnSo, does the phenomenal sales have anything to do with you liking it? Why is sales even being discussed here when we’re talking of personal opinions about a soundtrack? Just because many, many people have bought it, does not mean me and you should like it too, you know?

First of all, thanks for the prompt reply. I was not expecting a reply for such an old post. Yes, I fully respect your personal opinion (especially after reading one of your posts where you said it’s just personal opinion).nnRegarding your question about sales, now that it’s clear to me that this review is just a personal opinion, I think it doesn’t matter anyway.nn n
