Shahi composes 4 tunes and all of them are consistently very good; Barkha bahaar holds some imaginatively ambient orchestration; Saari raat and Kothay uttay have that traditional Pakistani/ Punjabi sound wrapped in a lovely mod package, even as Rehna tere bina is a groovy fusionl; Devika uses her vocal to great effect here. The atmospheric mood does the trick in composer Noor Lodhi’s Unka khayal and Andheri lagan. Devika’s derivative of Jog raag in Kyoon nahin aaye has the music overpowering her vocals, but the music per se is delightful. Post her 2007 debut, Saari Raat is a neat follow-up!
