Music review: Kutty (Tamil – Devi Sri Prasad)

Posted by: Karthik In: Tamil OST

The problem with Devi Sri Prasad’s music, usually, is that the rhythms are recycled beyond imagination – Lifeey jaali thaan is a great example; staid backgrounds and a childish tune. Even Feel my love is no different – template rhythm and a tune that just takes its own course, but while Mukesh’s Nee kaadhalikkum ponnu, thankfully, holds some street-smart appeal, it still degerates into a standard-fitting like the ‘Love love’ phrase. Yaro en kanavil is a seriously Telugu-styled composition, complete with an effeminate male voice that merely irks. Kannu rendum is too stupid and assembly-line to even comment. Terrible soundtrack!
