Music review: Hum Tum Aur Ghost (Hindi – Shankar Ehsaan Loy)

Posted by: Karthik In: Hindi OST

Dekho raste mein evokes strong memories of Life is crazy from Wake Up Sid, but, thankfully, there are enough nuances here to hold your attention. Vishal Dadlani’s inimitable voice carries the title song even as it gets crushed under the weight of sounding vaguely reminiscent of many other songs from the trio. Banware se pooche banwariya, with 7 credited singers, is catchy fun, despite the nagging feeling that it is tediously flat as it progresses. Caralisa Monteiro steals the show in Kal tum the yahan, a pensive melody beautifully interrupted with imaginative musical pieces. Short, reasonably sweet and bordering-dreary soundtrack.

Keywords: Arshad Warsi, Dia Mirza, Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendosa

Didn't have much of a hope in the soundtrack... It's a delayed low budget project.. Anyways decent soundtrack, nevertheless.. :) Baawre se pooche sounded pedestrian initially, but now I'm hooked :D

Waiting for housefull music release on 16th..!
