Mirapakay (Music review), Telugu – Thaman S

Posted by Karthik

Adigora choodu is all glitzy packaging with little tune or flow, while Thaman gets everything right in Vaishali and Silaka, a couple of sophisticated kuthu numbers, as he hits all the catchy notes aptly! Geetha Madhuri and Karthik ace the beautiful, filmy melody in Gadi thalupulu, and despite the corny lyrics, Dhinaku dhin works solely because of Thaman’s tune that borders Harris Jeyaraj’s territory. With as many as 6 singers, Chirugaley is recycled Thaman material that doesn’t strike a chord, even as he ends the soundtrack with a nice and short title track. Thaman salvages the Ragada disappointment with Mirapakay.

The song Dhinaku Dhin by Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal is just an amazing number. I do not understand Telugu language. I mostly listen to Hindi, Malayalam & Tamil songs only. I hear other languages only if recommended by Karthik @milliblog. I read this review lately and thought of giving it a hear. Thaman has created some good numbers in this album. Especially the song Dhinaku Dhin which has some good arrangements, superb tune and classic rendering from the experienced playback singers make this song a superb hear. Thanks for the review, Karthik. Milliblog is making me learn new languages and taking my interest of music to new territories.
