Rowdy Rathore (Music review), Hindi – Sajid-Wajid

Posted by Karthik

Chinta ta ta shamelessly – and without any credit – rips off MM Kreem’s Telugu original from the film’s original, Vikramarkudu. If it sounds catchy, don’t credit Sajid Wajid for it. Dhadhang dhang and Chammak challo bring back the pointless 90s masala music we had gladly gotten over, while Aa re mauls the catchy cue it picks from Vidyasagar’s Tamil original. Tera ishq is the only song that has an innate charm, with foot-tapping rhythms to match. Chandaniya is sleep-inducing, as it should be, while Rowdy Mix makes a silly mish-mash of Salman-style dialogs. Rowdy, criminal (plagiarism) and meddlesome music.

Wow , no credit to the original. Its as blatant a rip off as can be. Which song is Aa re  inspired by?

Wonder when Sajid Wajid will stop Anu Maaliking their route to success?

I start hating songs when It gets involved in plagiarism

Oh..I am shocked you found it worth mention. I thought you chucked this into NWM bin. I commented earlier, it sounds like a tribute to Anand-Milind’s trashy 90′s repertoire.
Did you notice, its not only pointless 90′s masala that make an undesirable comeback with this movie, Kumar Sanu & Govinda’s dress designer do too.

What if they officially bought the rights but didn’t credit the original composer? Would it still count as plagiarism?

The source credit should ideally be mentioned in the vehicle that reaches end consumers. If others like Pritam can start doing it, why can’t Sajid-Wajid?
