Julayi (Music review), Telugu – Devi Sri Prasad

Posted by Karthik

Hey chakkani bike undi and Pakado are good examples – nothing works in these songs. The title song fares marginally better, thanks to the catchy hook, while, Mee intiki mundhu works only for its accordion and horns usage. Jassie Gift’s Osey osey is horrendously y iterative at multiple levels. It takes Adnan Sami to salvage the soundtrack with O Madhu…a spritely melody tailor-made for the singer even as DSP’s choice of instruments is creative. There are times when Devi Sri Prasad is in an inspired phase and even his mindlessly repeated tracks work. Julayi is not from such a phase.

Perhaps you should give DSP’s audios a couple listens before you go for a review. It has become commonplace to see you bash his audios right away but always mention one of his tracks in your “Top listens”.
