Amara (Music review), Tamil – D.Imman

MLR Karthikeyan rules like he always does, in Atha magalayum; the use of the folk sound fused with the more mod additions works well! Simmakallu sees Chinmayi is a mighty new avatar and she pulls off the intoxicated, item’ish sound wonderfully well, while Priya Himesh’s Koorapodava is a delightful tune, superbly orchestrated by Imman. Theeyum theeyum‘s sparkling ballad’ish sound is a very catchy listen, even as Haricharan aces Ennennamo nadakkudhe, a similar, highly tuneful and musically rich track. Imman is turning his earlier form upside down and is going from strength to strength! Amara is perfect example of that ascent!
