Joker (Music review), Hindi – GV Prakash Kumar & Gaurav Dagaonkar

Posted by Karthik

Much as Daler and Sonu Kakkar try to infuse life into Sing Raja, it merely sounds like a poor rehash of Rahman’s Gentleman chartbuster Usilambatti. And Tears of Joker could be some background music from any random 90s Rahman Tamil film! Yeh Joker and Alien Arrival are utterly non-descript worth any comment while Jugnu is the only track that showcases GV Prakash Kumar’s talent – with inventive vocal layering and imaginative sounds – that he uses to better effect in Tamil. Gaurav Dagaonkar’s Kafirana is too templatized to be a functional item song. Poor Hindi debut by GV Prakash Kumar.

Keywords: GV Prakash Kumar, Gaurav Dagaonkar, Joker

what a waste of an opportunity !!! and I donno, even jugnu sounds more like ‘ajnabi’ from jaan-e-man, somewhere !

even u doono.. so only u r guessing!! stop spreading rumours.. shut ur ass and ran avvay!!

Elsewhere, Anu Maalik is grinning for his “acclaimed” work in Jaan-E-Mann, despite claims that GVP was the arranger behind the score.

I think the new followers got some issues in order to understand what “Milliblog” is all about. Mr. Karthik has cleraly stated more than 10 times that the reviews on this blog is his own opinion. He is not asking anybody to listen/purchase the albums based on his review. I request all the fellow followers to maintain some decorum. Please keep in mind that this is a public forum. Even i feel like Karthik is biased towards “Imaan”.. i was shattered to see a 200 for “Manan kotthi paravai” but once again it’s his review & he can put forwrd whatever he wants. Do justice to your education, music sense & most importantly to the reviewer. P.S – I’ve seen many commenting “try composing few songs/albums” before writing reviews. My question to them is – Why don’t you try creating a blog like this & try reviewing albums crisply within 100/200 words before writing crap here???

      Aptly put… Bravo!

are you a broker for this culprit. this idiot has no music knowledge. He reviews innocently from veyil.First ask him to learn music and then go for his stupid review. He is childish.ONLY A MUSIC LEARNED PERSON CAN REVIEW not this fool.

Album failed to captive me . I like GVP for his music not for his tunes, !! Recently Manesellam songs from Saguni impressed me but i was disgusted when i found that that was an rehash of Kattrae from Rhythm. Also many of his melodies give a ‘Head before’ feel. I hope GV sheds this Copy-cat tag and he is capable of much more.

karthik is a useless reviewer.you are one sided. This fellow doesn’t know other than A.R.Rahman music. Even we are AR fan.We know the difference between AR music and GVs music. This fellow doesn’t have musical taste.I think this idiot should be bribed

    • http://twitter.com/shameer1112004 Mohd Shameer

Hey! r u a father of GV,cos no one in world support GV like this ;-) )

  • http://twitter.com/shameer1112004 Mohd Shameer

Like karthik said, its a poor debut,i expect a lot…but its pure dissappointment, nothing more to say..

Even after RHTDM hit,Harris cant stay in bollywood…, btw for GV the bolly gate is fully closed after this album..

Now iam waiting 4 yuvan in bollywood..

i donno y the south composers cant make big like ARR

    • http://twitter.com/nvenkatr Rathnavelu

They’re not getting great offers from the Bollywood filmmakers. Even after Rangeela’s success, ARR had duds in the form of Daud, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, etc. When Dil Se (with Mani Ratnam happened), he was noticed (never mind the film’s fate.)

Similarly, Harris and GVP have a chance. If Gautham Menon made more films in Btown (forget that even EDT existed, original ran for ARR’s score), Harris would’ve bowled them over. Likewise, GVP has director Vijay to thank for his success and if Vijay decides to hit Btown, he’s the only one who can extract the best out of GVP (never mind how DTM’s track was taken from Robin Hood), but from their past, magic can happen.

This bugger,GVP,is nothing but a use-less bag of shit.He is simply there
in the film industry courtesy his link with ARR.Producers/Directors are
simply making a hara kiri by signing him up.Fit for nothing fellow. It
is better he sits at home assisting his uncle rather than making
comments abt someone really talented as Yuvan out of sheer jealousy.
