Son of Sardar (Music review), Hindi – Himesh Reshammiya, Sajid-Wajid & Sandeep Chowta

The title song is peculiarly addictive – must be that chant-like backgrounds and repetition. Rani tu mera raja and Po po aren’t that lucky -mind-bogglingly templatized and bland. Tu kamaal di kudi is strictly no different, but Vineet Singh’s vocals do make a difference, while Himesh’s best in the soundtrack is the pleasantly semi-classical Bichdann that also gains a lot from Rahat’s soulful vocals. Sajid Wajid’s harmonium-guitar mix in Yeh jo halki gets Rahat’s help too and manages to be reasonably engaging, while Sandeep Chowta’s remix of the title song is pointless. This Sardar’s son makes good with middling music.

        Sajid-Wajid song is out of tempo….they r pathetic in composing music…cheap and lame.If Himesh is not talented why he got more songs than these cheap music directors and its record that HR music always become hit.so there is no comparison b/w HR and any other music director out there in terms of content and quality.

      Sorry I disagree.Sajid-Wajid cannot be compared to HR.HR is called as hit machine.He had composed more songs and 98% of those songs are hit.And if you compare others than still HR wins in terms of quality and content.

    Son Of Sardaar seems far better than the collective workforce of all Big Names put together….

    JTHJ has plain mediocre score as compared to the Trio’s previously scored Historic Music Albums !!
