Babu Rao aims to be street-smart, but something in its groove doesn’t really allow it to be. I am in love is KK’s show; brilliant one at that – delightful Pritam ballad template that hits all the right notes. Surprisingly, Karthik gets a version too – sounds mighty good! Pancham’s Duniya mein gets a Pritam-mix in Parda; the composer’s unique variations do help, while Tum jo aaye is pretty filmy, may be for a reason, and lacks any specific punch. Mohit Chauhan’s Pee loon is the soundtrack’s highlight; mesmerizing tune and delightful orchestration! Average soundtrack propped by two stand-out songs!
